This Privacy Policy describes how TacticBoard ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at tacticboard.app (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1 Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Email address and password when you create an account
- Tactics, formations, player names, and notes you create
- Billing information (name, payment card details) when you subscribe to TacticBoard Pro — this is processed directly by Stripe and we never store raw card data
Information collected automatically:
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the Service
- Referring URLs (how you arrived at our site)
- Cookie identifiers and similar tracking technologies (see Section 3)
Information from third parties:
- If you sign in using Google or another OAuth provider, we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) as permitted by that provider

7 Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:
- Account data is retained until you delete your account
- Tactics and formations are stored until you delete them or close your account
- Payment records are retained for up to 7 years as required by financial regulations
- Server logs (IP addresses, etc.) are retained for up to 90 days

8 Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. Authentication and data storage are handled by Supabase, which maintains SOC 2 compliance.
9 Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and associated personal data
- Restrict or object to certain types of processing
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt out of personalized advertising (see Section 4)

10 Children's Privacy
TacticBoard is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at support@tacticboard.app and we will delete it promptly.
11 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of personal data we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights
- Right to Opt Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information

12 International Users
TacticBoard is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Our legal basis for processing your data is typically the performance of our contract with you (providing the Service), your consent (for advertising cookies), or our legitimate interests (security, analytics). When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service.
